JigsawPuzzles.io, reviewed
The calmest game on our shelf. Pick a picture and a piece count, then solve it by yourself or invite friends to work on the same board at once. Shared puzzles with a chat on the side are a lovely low-key way to spend time with someone far away.

Our take
JigsawPuzzles.io does one thing: jigsaw puzzles on a screen, with pieces you drag and turn, edges that snap and a reference picture you can peek at. The catalogue covers landscapes, animals, art and more, and you choose how many pieces and how they are cut.
The multiplayer side is what makes it special. Start a puzzle and invite a few friends, and everyone works on the same board in real time, with a small chat alongside. It feels like sitting at a table together, even across a country.
Accounts are free and needed to start your own puzzles; a subscription removes adverts and adds extras. Choose a small piece count the first time: a big puzzle can take several sittings.
A first sitting
Start with about 100 pieces. Do the edges first, then sort the rest by colour.
Where to stop
Puzzles save as you go. Stop when the border is complete, or at a piece count you agree on together.
